Test results are immediately submitted to the California Air Resource Board (CARB) through the Clean Truck Check Vehicle Inspection System (CTC-VIS). Your compliance status is updated immediately so you can avoid potential registration holds or fines. Additionally, you can access your test results and compliance certificates through your CTC-VIS account.

To Comply with California’s Clean Truck Check (HD I/M) Program, all diesel and alternative fuel vehicles with a GVWR over 14,000 lbs. operating in CA - including those registered out of state - must be enrolled in CARB’s online database.

how to register your truck?

  1. Visit the official CARB Clean Truck Check portal:

    https://cleantruckcheck.arb.ca.gov

  2. Create an account and register your vehicle(s)

  3. submit VIN, plate, and vehicle details

  4. Pay the $30 annual compliance fee per vehicle

  5. Submit your test results from a certified tester (like us)

Who Needs to register?

  • California - Based Trucks

  • Out-of-state trucks that enter or operate in California

  • Fleet and independent owner-operators

If you don’t register, your truck may:

  • Be flagged at roadside by CARB cameras

  • Incur fines or penalties

  • If your vehicle does not pass, you are eligible for one complimentary retest. Once the issue has been corrected, I will return and complete the retest at no additional charge. This policy ensures you only pay once for a successful test.

  • While it’s best to be registered in the clean truck check (CTC-VIS) portal beforehand, we can actually help you through the registration process during our visit if you’re having trouble.

  • Most tests take 15 to 30 minutes. Since we come to you, your drivers don’t waste hours sitting in line at a shop, meaning your trucks stay on the road longer.

  • Yes - We are a licensed business with the City of El Cajon and a CARB-credentialed Clean Truck Check tester. CARB License: IL418449

  • We provide mobile service across San Diego County, including: El Cajon, Chula Vista, Santee, National city, Spring Valley, La Mesa, Mira Mesa, Escondido, San Marcos, Carlsbad, and surrounding areas.

  • Yes - We help owner-operators from outside California stay compliant. We’ll test your truck and walk you through CARB registration if needed.

  • We accept credit cards, debit cards, cash, Zelle, business checks, and personal checks.

  • Yes. Active‑duty and veteran military customers receive a $10 courtesy discount as a thank‑you for their service. The discount applies to the standard testing fee for one vehicle per visit and cannot be combined with any other discounts.
